Dr. Candace D. Hinote

Dr. Candace D. Hinote is a native Memphian who returned to Memphis for her residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. After completing a BA in Chemistry at the University of South Florida, she went to New York Medical College and St. George’s University School of Medicine where she earned a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology and her Medical Degree graduating with Honors. She was recently recognized with the Award of Excellence in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility and the Award for Outstanding Research Paper from the Department of OBGYN at UTHSC.

Dr. Candace D. Hinote’s passion for the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology stems from her ability to address a range of health issues beginning in adolescence and continuing as women build their families, and later go through menopause. On the lower end of the age spectrum, Dr. Candace D. Hinote believes that “teaching girls to value their bodies and take care of themselves must be a lesson that begins as they become young women. Physical health is a long term investment that is difficult to grasp as a teenager, but bone health and reproductive health can be impacted by behaviors that begin in adolescence.” For women of all ages, Dr. Candace D. Hinote is very pleased with the minimally invasive surgeries and office procedures she can offer for common gynecological diagnoses. She finds it empowering to be able to offer women health solutions with minimal disturbance to their daily lives.

When Dr. Candace D. Hinote is not in the office, she spends her time with her husband and two boys. They can typically be found cheering on her older son at soccer or her husband as he coaches middle school football and track. When there is actual downtime, you’ll see the Hinote family in their front yard, throwing the Frisbee for their boxer, Chloe.
